Data Collection Guide for Your vPage
This guide will help you gather the necessary links and information to create a comprehensive and engaging vPage for your business using WordTune®.
If you have a promotional or informative video hosted on YouTube or Vimeo, you can embed it on your page.
- Navigate to your video on YouTube or Vimeo.
- Below the video, find and click the 'Share' button.
- Copy the link provided. It will look something like
https://youtu.be/your_video_id
orhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=your_video_id
. - Paste this full link into the 'YouTube/Vimeo Video URL' field in the WordTune® vPage generator.
For all image fields, you need a direct link to the image file. This link usually ends with .jpg
, .jpeg
, .png
, .gif
, or .svg
.
Using Google Photos:
- Standard "sharing links" from Google Photos (e.g., from the 'Share' button > 'Create link') are not direct image links and generally won't work for embedding directly on your vPage.
- To get a usable link from Google Photos:
- Open Google Photos and navigate to the album containing your image.
- Click on the image so it opens in the full-screen or larger preview mode.
- Right-click directly on the enlarged image.
- In the context menu that appears, select "Copy Image Address" (this wording might vary slightly depending on your browser, e.g., "Copy Image Link").
- The link copied to your clipboard should start with something like
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/...
. This is the type of link you should paste into the vPage generator.
- Note: This Google Photos method relies on how browsers and Google currently structure these URLs. For the most long-term stability and reliability, using a dedicated image hosting service that explicitly provides permanent direct links is still recommended.
For the Gallery: If you're adding multiple images to the gallery, paste each direct image URL (obtained via one of the methods above) on a new line in the 'Gallery Image URLs' field.
Paste the direct image URL(s) into the corresponding fields in the vPage generator (e.g., 'Logo Image URL', 'Hero Background Image URL', 'Gallery Image URLs').
If you want to embed a PDF (e.g., restaurant menu, services brochure), it needs to be hosted online and you need a direct link to the .pdf
file.
- Upload your PDF to a cloud storage service (like Google Drive, Dropbox) or your own web server.
- Ensure the sharing settings allow public viewing.
- Obtain a direct link that ends in
.pdf
.- For Google Drive: After uploading and setting sharing to 'Anyone with the link can view', the shareable link (e.g.,
https://drive.google.com/file/d/YOUR_FILE_ID/view?usp=sharing
) often needs to be converted for direct embedding. A common format for embedding ishttps://drive.google.com/file/d/YOUR_FILE_ID/preview
. However, reliability can vary. - For Dropbox: You can usually get a direct download link by changing the
dl=0
at the end of a share link todl=1
. - Simpler alternatives include services specifically for PDF hosting, or uploading to your own website's hosting.
- For Google Drive: After uploading and setting sharing to 'Anyone with the link can view', the shareable link (e.g.,
- Paste this direct
.pdf
link into the 'Menu/Brochure PDF URL' field.
Embedding a Google Map helps customers find you. If you have a Google Business Profile (formerly Google My Business), you can often start from there:
- Using your Google Business Profile:
- Access your Google Business Profile (you can search for "my business" on Google if logged in, or go to business.google.com).
- Find the 'Share profile' option or a 'Share' button on your listing. This often provides a direct link to your business on Google Maps.
- Click this link to open your business directly on Google Maps.
- General Method (if no GMB or direct share link):
- Go to Google Maps.
- Search for your business location.
- Once your business location is displayed on Google Maps (either via GMB share link or direct search):
- Click the 'Share' button/icon associated with your business location on the map.
- In the popup window that appears, select the 'Embed a map' tab.
- You'll see an HTML code snippet that starts with
<iframe...
. Click 'COPY HTML'. - Paste this entire HTML code into the 'Google Maps Embed HTML' field in the WordTune® vPage generator.
Provide direct links to your business profiles on various social media platforms.
- Visit each of your social media profiles (e.g., Facebook page, Twitter profile, Instagram profile, LinkedIn company page).
- Copy the full URL from your browser's address bar. Examples:
https://www.facebook.com/yourbusinessname
https://twitter.com/yourusername
https://www.instagram.com/yourusername
- In the 'Social Media Links' field in the generator, paste each full URL on a new line.
Provide your main contact information. For best display on your vPage, enter each piece of information on a new line.
Example format:
Your Business Name (Optional, if not in Business Name field) 123 Main Street Cityville, State, 12345 your.email@example.com (555) 123-4567 Another Phone: (555) 987-6543
Paste this into the 'Contact Details' field.

Paste this into the 'Opening Times' field.
